HOME Program

The City of Vallejo is a participating jurisdiction of the Federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program.  HOME provides an annual grant that communities like Vallejo use—often in partnership with local non-profit organizations—to fund a wide range of activities that build, buy, and/or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or homeownership, or provide direct rental assistance to low-income persons. Some of these services have been provided through the Down Payment/Closing Cost Assistance Programs, the Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Loan Program, and assistance with security deposits.

Vallejo’s other recent HOME projects include the construction of Avian Glen Apartments for families, and the rehabilitation of Marina Tower Apartments for seniors.
