Affordable Housing

The City of Vallejo is committed to provide housing affordable to residents at a range of income levels.  The City codifies its affordable housing goals and policies in several documents.  The City’s Housing Element outlines the City’s plan to facilitate the creation of units affordable to Very Low, Low and Moderate-Income categories to meet State allocated Affordable Housing goals.  The City’s Consolidated Plan outlines the housing and community development objectives for the City’s Federal grant funds, such as Community Development Block Grant funds and HOME funds.

The City provides a variety of affordable housing programs including the Down Payment Assistance Program for homebuyers, the Housing Choice Voucher Program (section 8), and the Home Rehabilitation Loan Program.
