Ideas are pouring in!
Ideas are pouring in!
Vallejo's first two Participatory Budgeting Assemblies are in the books, and we've gathered more than 100 ideas already from residents on how to spend $2.4 million to improve Vallejo! Cycle 2 of PB in Vallejo is off to a great start and we look forward to the next 8 assemblies over the coming weeks.
Capital Public Radio did a story this morning on the Glen Cove Budget Assembly that highlighted the uniqueness of Vallejo and its dedicated residents:

Thanks to all the volunteers at Glen Cove Elementary School and the Filipino Community Center, as well as Earl's Texas BBQ for donating food for Thursday's assembly.
We're gearing up for a youth assembly next Wednesday, March 12th at Vallejo High School from 2:00-4:00, but everyone in the community is welcome to join.
If you're interested in joining an assembly, or volunteering to help spread the word, get in touch with our PB Team at 707-648-4577 or e-mail pbvallejo@ci.vallejo.ca.us.
Thanks again to all the hard work everyone has done!
