The City of Vallejo's Capital Improvement Project (CIP) section ensures the management of all City projects. CIP provides engineering design, construction administration, and construction inspection for the City’s Capital Improvement Program.
The City of Vallejo’s Current Development section reviews plans and inspects permitted construction activity and private development to ensure construction is in accordance with Vallejo City Standards. The Current Development Branch also ensures maps are in compliance with the Subdivision Map Act and the Vallejo Municipal Code.
The Technical Support section is responsible for ensuring that private and public construction projects are inspected and comply with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
The Landscape Maintenance District (LMD) section managers 26 LMDs and 1 Community Facilities District (CFD) through contract administration for all districts, landscape design, and construction inspection of new development areas within the LMDs and CFD.
The Recycling section is responsible for managing the City's solid waste and recycling contract. This section works closely with the contracting company, Recology Vallejo, to provide education and resources to Vallejo customers.
The Traffic Engineering section monitors the City of Vallejo streets, City-owned parking lots, and traffic control devices, and makes recommendations to update infrastructure. Traffic Engineering also represents the City of Vallejo with State, Federal, and regulatory agencies in relation to traffic improvement programs.
