Vallejo Fire Divisions

Fire Suppression Division

Our Fire Suppression Division consists of three shifts led by a Battalion Chief who oversees five Engines and a one Truck company. We provide fire suppression, Advanced Life Support emergency medical services, and respond to any and all calls for emergency service. All of our stations are staffed with paramedics to enable us to provide the best medical care for our citizens. We average over 12,000 calls per year and boast two of the busiest engines in the state.

Emergency Medical Services Division
Our Emergency Medical Services Division provides the necessary support for our Paramedic Program. This program is run by our Emergency Medical Services Coordinator. This premiere Division ensures that our paramedics, not only receive the state mandated training, but that they exceed it. We are always looking for ways to improve on our ability to provide the most cutting edge field medical intervention possible.

Fire Training Division
Our Fire Training Division provides the best training possible to our firefighters. This division ensures we meet all state and federally mandated training standards as well as challenging our firefighters to advance their skills with progressive classes. The Training Division also utilizes nationally recognized instructors to provide our firefighters the opportunity to learn from the best. These resources are also shared with our neighboring fire departments.

Fire Prevention Division
Our Fire Prevention Division provides public education inspection services, Fire/Life Safety inspections, plan checking & permitting, fire reports, and investigations. In addition to serving the public in matters of fire prevention and fire safety, we also strive to provide our business community with the best customer service possible regarding the safety of their business.
