PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2018-19 ACTION PLAN, INCLUDING PROPOSED FY 2018-19 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM FUNDING ALLOCATIONS

 

On Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., the Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) of the City of Vallejo will hold a public hearing during its regular meeting in the Vallejo Room, bottom level of the John F. Kennedy Library, 505 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo, on the City’s “Action Plan” proposed for FY 2018-19, (July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019). The Action Plan, required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), is a one-year plan for applying available funding to the community development and affordable housing needs identified in the City’s Five Year Consolidated Plan.

During the July 5th meeting and after this hearing, the HCDC will review and recommend the FY 2018-19 Action Plan, and FY 2018-19 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding allocations.  These items are scheduled for consideration and action by the Vallejo City Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 7:00 p. m. in the Vallejo Room.

The City will receive $1,036,867 in CDBG Program funds ($15,000 of which is projected program income), and $719,448 in HOME Program funds ($100,000 of which is projected program income), during FY 2018-19.

Beginning Friday, June 22, 2018 the draft FY 2018-19 Action Plan, and proposed FY 2018-19 CDBG Program and HOME Program allocations, will be available to the public for review at the following locations:
