Project Description:
Repair potholes, repair and repave City streets

Implementing Entity:
Public Works Department, City of Vallejo

Background:
Each year, the allocation to the Public Works Department to repair and repave streets is below the level of need.  In addition, federal and state funding sources are often only eligible to be used on major thoroughfares.  This project increases the capacity of the Public Works Department to make repairs, especially on residential streets, improving the safety and appearance of the City’s streets.

Project Updates: All funds will be expended within the 2013/14 Fiscal Year, which ends on June 30, 2014. 
3/2014
A thin overlay / skin patch is applied to Colusa Street between Springs Road and Louisiana Street. Sherrod Court between Parkwood Street and the terminus is paved.  Patrick Court between Parkwood Street and the terminus is paved.  A skin patch is applied to Admiral Callaghan Lane between Redwood Parkway and the 700 Block.
2/2014   A skin patch is applied to Caldwell Street between Concord Avenue and Haven Court.
1/2014 Fleming Avenue between Mariposa and the terminus is repaved.  A skin patch is applied to Mariposa Street between Indiana Street and Fleming Avenue.  Moorland Street between Greenfield Avenue and the terminus is paved.  Shasta Street between Tennessee Street and Indiana Street is paved.  
11/2013 Ohio Street between the railroad tracks and Broadway Street is repaved.
10/2013 A thin overlay / skin patch is applied to Laurel Street between Benicia Road and Reis Avenue.
7/9/2013 The City Council adopts Resolution 13-094 N.C., redistributing $550,000 from the General Fund to implement the project.
