Animal control services are provided by the Solano County Sheriff's Animal Control Unit in collaboration with the
Humane Society of the North Bay.
Both entities operate at the City-owned site leased by Humane Society of the North Bay at:
1121 Sonoma Boulevard, Vallejo
Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Routine and non-emergency communications can be e-mailed directly to Animal Control Officers at

Animal Control Dispatch is provided 24 hours per Day/Seven Days per Week
Residents are instructed to call Animal Control Dispatch on weekdays at
(707) 784-4733, selecting option 2, and on weekends at (707) 421-7090 for the following situations:
- Unaccompanied animals running loose
- Unaccompanied sick and/or injured animals
- Dog Bites
- Aggressive animals
- Dogs on the highway
- Concerns about the welfare of an animal
- Nuisance animals (barking dogs require a two-week journal recording the days and times the dog was barking and a description of the dog)
