The City is preparing amendments to its off-street parking regulations to implement recommendations from the adopted Vallejo Downtown/Waterfront Parking Management Program Evaluation and Action Plan and align with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Transit-Oriented Communities (TOC) Policy and Assembly Bill 2097.

The amendments address parking minimums, establish parking maximums in applicable TOC areas, and allow unbundled parking, where parking costs are separated from the cost of housing or commercial space.

Project Status

Staff has completed drafting the proposed zoning ordinance amendments. The draft ordinance is tentatively scheduled for Planning Commission consideration on December 7, 2026, for a recommendation to the City Council. Following Commission review, the ordinance will be brought to the City Council for consideration and adoption.
