Parking Citation Information

The Vallejo Police Department issues parking citations for violations of the California Vehicle Code and the City of Vallejo Municipal Code. A private security company is contracted by the City of Vallejo to issue parking citations for violations of the City of Vallejo Municipal Code in the Downtown Business District and the ferry passenger parking areas.

If you received a parking citation, you may handle it in the following ways;

PAY THE CITATION IN FULL
Citations must be paid if full within 30 days.

1. Pay the citation by mailing a check or money order payable to:
"City of Vallejo - Parking Enforcement Center" and mail to:
City of Vallejo Parking Enforcement Center
P.O. Box 3214
Milwaukee, WI 53201-3214
2. Pay the citation with a credit card by calling (866) 449-7578
3. Pay the citation online by clicking here.

If paying by phone or online, please wait 2-3 weeks for citations to be processed.

REQUEST A MONTHLY INSTALLMENT PAYMENT PLAN
Only the registered owner of the vehicle cited may request a payment plan. Payment plans are available to any and all income levels. You may not enroll in a payment plan if you are currently in the appeal process (see below). You must enroll in the payment plan within 60 days from the date of the citation or within ten (10) days after the Administrative Hearing of the appeal process. For information on payment plans for citations issued prior to July 1, 2018, call (707) 651-7172. There is no penalty for paying off the citation early. The minimum payment of $25 must be made each month and the citation must be paid in full within 18 months. There is a $5 processing fee to enroll in the payment plan.

All late penalty fees will be waived if the minimum monthly payment is made on time and the citation is paid in full within 18 months. If you fall out of compliance with the monthly payment plan, late penalties will be restored and added to the remaining balance. A hold on the vehicle registration will be requested with the DMV. To avoid a registration hold, the registered owner may request a one-time extension of 45 calendar days to resume payments. If payments are resumed, the remaining balance, including any late fees that have now been added, must be paid in full within the original 18-month deadline.

To enroll in a monthly installment payment plan, please call (707) 651-7172. Leave your full name, phone number, license plate number and citation number. You will receive a call back to confirm the payment plan and answer any questions. Remember, you have 60 days from the date of the citation to enroll in the payment plan.
