Have old items that won’t fit in your curbside cart?

Single-family property owners are entitled to four FREE bulky item pickups each calendar year!

Each pickup includes up to 2 cubic yards of material (that’s about ten 32-gallon trash bags).To schedule your free pickup, call Recology Vallejo at (707) 552-3110. Apartment complex managers or Homeowners' Associations (HOAs) must make arrangements on behalf of their tenants.

 Use your bulky item pickup for items such as couches, refrigerators, extra garbage, appliances and more.

Note: Two cubic yards equals roughly ten 32-gallon plastic garbage plastic bags. Your stacked items should not be larger than one yard (or three feet) wide, by one yard (or three feet) high, and two yards (or six feet) long. Stack your items neatly and measure to ensure you do not exceed the two-yard limit. Consider Reuse Before Disposal

Before throwing away items, consider donating it and giving it a second life. Many non-profit organizations accept gently used items which could be reused by others. There is always a great need to support local non-profits in Solano County, and not only will you be helping divert items from the landfill, you will also be supporting your community. You may also donate gently used item in working condition to your local thrift store. For more information, contact the donation site directly.

VALCORE Recycling has a clothing and shoes donation bin on site. You can drop off your gently used clothing items at 38 Sheridan Street during open hours. For more information, visit VALCORE's Clothing Donation page here. Acceptable items include:

• Accessories (belts, hats, scarves)
• Towels
• Bedding

Items must be dry and in plastic bags.
